Twisted Pin
Accessibility.
Last updated May 5, 2026. We're committed to making twistedpin.com usable for everyone, including visitors who rely on assistive technologies.
1. Our Commitment
Twisted Pin is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to our website.
2. Conformance Target
This site is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and referenced by U.S. Department of Justice ADA guidance.
WCAG defines requirements for designers and developers to make digital content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
3. Current Status
The following accessibility practices are implemented across the site:
- Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks for screen reader navigation
- Alternative text on meaningful images
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, including the menu drawer and accordion sections
- Visible focus indicators on interactive elements
- Sufficient color contrast on body copy and UI controls
- Text content that scales with the browser's font-size setting
- A
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query that disables non-essential animation for visitors who request it in their OS settings - Form fields with associated labels (where forms appear on the site)
4. Known Limitations
We're working toward full conformance, but some areas have known accessibility gaps we want to be transparent about:
- Third-party embeds. Some pages embed services we don't control — including the waitlist (TablesReady) and the booking flow (Roller). The accessibility of those embedded experiences is the responsibility of those vendors. If you encounter a barrier in an embedded service, please let us know so we can either escalate to the vendor or offer an alternative path.
- Third-party menu data. Our cocktail and food menus pull product images from our point-of-sale system (GoTab). We render alt text from the product name where available; some images may not have descriptive alt text beyond the product name.
- Auto-playing video. The homepage hero contains short, muted video. We're working toward a play/pause control on this element. In the meantime, the video does not contain audio that needs to be heard to understand the content.
5. Reporting a Barrier
If you encounter content on twistedpin.com that you cannot access, please tell us. We take accessibility feedback seriously and will work to resolve issues promptly.
When reporting, please include:
- The URL of the page
- The assistive technology you're using (e.g. screen reader, keyboard only, voice control)
- A description of the barrier
